Frequently asked questions
Absolutely. And we know what we’re talking about: as the pioneers of bike tours in the city, we have been guiding visitors through Bruges since 2002.
Leave the busy, well-trodden paths behind and hop on a bike. As you glide effortlessly through the city, you will discover not only the highlights but also hidden alleys and quiet spots that most visitors never see. You’ll hear the stories behind the facades, get to know your guide, and share the experience with other travelers — relaxed, personal, and just that little bit different.
And then there is the countryside: a landscape that begs to be explored by bike. Think of winding roads, open fields, and endless rows of poplars rustling gently in the wind. Here you feel the rhythm of the region — and you only truly experience that on a bike.
Wearing a helmet is not mandatory in Belgium, but we do provide them for those who feel safer.
Helmets are available for free in various sizes, including for children. A helmet is only mandatory for school groups and E-bikes.
Our shop is a 5-minute walk from the market square in Bruges. We want to keep our ecological footprint as small as possible, so we always start and end at the shop.
Bruges is very bike-friendly. During our guided tours, we avoid busy main roads and stick to quiet streets, bicycle boulevards, and the city’s green ramparts. Our guides select routes that ensure you experience Bruges in a safe and relaxed way.
Participation in the tours is at your own risk. We regularly check the condition of our bicycles. However, when you take over the bikes, you are required to check their roadworthiness and functionality. During the tours, you are responsible for your own traffic safety and for ensuring you are fit to participate in road traffic.

We usually cycle with 8–14 people. We prefer not to have more than 15 guests. The minimum group size for public tours is 4 people — once that is reached, the tour will definitely go ahead. For private tours of 16 people or more, we often recommend splitting the group (using 2+ guides).
