Frequently asked questions
Bruges is very bike-friendly. During our guided tours, we avoid busy main roads and stick to quiet streets, bicycle boulevards, and the city’s green ramparts. Our guides select routes that ensure you experience Bruges in a safe and relaxed way.
Participation in the tours is at your own risk. We regularly check the condition of our bicycles. However, when you take over the bikes, you are required to check their roadworthiness and functionality. During the tours, you are responsible for your own traffic safety and for ensuring you are fit to participate in road traffic.
Tours usually go ahead even in unsettled weather. We provide free rain ponchos (made from eco-friendly material) for short showers, and we are flexible along the way (e.g., an undercover stop or a short cafe break). In the event of persistent rain, you can reschedule if you booked directly with us.
For bookings via platforms & OTAs (resellers), their specific terms and conditions apply.
No, unfortunately we do not rent out bikes without a guide. We need our bikes for the guided tours. If you would like to use one of our e-bikes during a tour, please indicate this when booking.
On a public tour, you cycle with a small group of other guests – you’ll get to know new people and often pick up surprisingly many extra tips.
If you choose a private tour, we tailor everything to you: the pace, route, and breaks, and we can even make it extra child-friendly. Plus, you decide on the date and start time yourself.
We usually cycle with 8–14 people. We prefer not to have more than 15 guests. The minimum group size for public tours is 4 people — once that is reached, the tour will definitely go ahead. For private tours of 16 people or more, we often recommend splitting the group (using 2+ guides).
Absolutely. And we know what we’re talking about: as the pioneers of bike tours in the city, we have been guiding visitors through Bruges since 2002.
Leave the busy, well-trodden paths behind and hop on a bike. As you glide effortlessly through the city, you will discover not only the highlights but also hidden alleys and quiet spots that most visitors never see. You’ll hear the stories behind the facades, get to know your guide, and share the experience with other travelers — relaxed, personal, and just that little bit different.
And then there is the countryside: a landscape that begs to be explored by bike. Think of winding roads, open fields, and endless rows of poplars rustling gently in the wind. Here you feel the rhythm of the region — and you only truly experience that on a bike.
