We usually cycle with 8\u201314 people. We prefer not to have more than 15 guests. The minimum group size for public tours is 4 people \u2014 once that is reached, the tour will definitely go ahead. Traditional ‘Dutch-style’ bikes made and produced in Belgium by Flanders (link maken). You sit comfortably upright, allowing you to cruise easily through the streets of Bruges. They are equipped with 7 gears and hand brakes. Our e-bikes make cycling even more comfortable.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

We recommend comfortable clothing that doesn’t restrict your movement\u2014special equipment is not necessary. It is, however, wise to be prepared for changeable weather: the climate is generally mild but can change quickly throughout the day. Additionally, there is often a cold breeze in the flat Flemish countryside.

Bruges is very bike-friendly. During our guided tours, we avoid busy main roads and stick to quiet streets, bicycle boulevards, and the city’s green ramparts. Our guides select routes that ensure you experience Bruges in a safe and relaxed way. <\/p>\n

Participation in the tours is at your own risk. We regularly check the condition of our bicycles. However, when you take over the bikes, you are required to check their roadworthiness and functionality. During the tours, you are responsible for your own traffic safety and for ensuring you are fit to participate in road traffic.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Yes, if you can ride a bike, it shouldn’t be a problem. We cycle along flat paths with little to no traffic. The tour is approximately 20 km. Flat also means it can be a bit windy. If in doubt, simply book an e-bike.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Tours usually go ahead even in unsettled weather. We provide free rain ponchos (made from eco-friendly material) for short showers, and we are flexible along the way (e.g., an undercover stop or a short cafe break). In the event of persistent rain, you can reschedule if you booked directly with us. <\/p>\n

Most public city tours last 2.5 hours. We spend about half the time cycling, while the other half is for stops, stories, and taking it all in. For private tours, we agree on the duration together. <\/p>\n

The countryside tours last 3 or 4 hours. These cover more distance and focus more on cycling than on history. We always take a 20-minute break during the countryside tours. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Sometimes they are, sometimes they aren’t. If they are at least 10 years old, can cycle well, and feel comfortable cycling in traffic, then yes. The management or the guide makes the final decision on whether a child can cycle with the group. Adults are responsible for children and their safety at all times. To ensure your young child can participate in a bike tour through Bruges, it is best to book a private tour for your family (all ages are welcome on private tours and we have a range of bikes to suit everyone).<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
